Dear Beloved People of Peace,
My name is Pastor Krista and I am looking forward to entering this “Holy Experiment” with you. We are entering into this relationship trusting that the Holy Spirit
is leading us as we go. You are probably wondering who is Pastor Krista? They say pictures speak 1000 words so let me introduce myself.
I am the full time pastor at Hosanna Lutheran in Rochester. I have been a pastor for 18 years. Prior to becoming a pastor I was a special education teacher, teaching PK-8 students with emotional/behavioral disorders and those with developmental delays. I loved teaching and it influences how I approach ministry. One of my greatest joys in ministry of course is proclaiming and making the gospel accessible in a variety of ways thru words, songs, art, activities and of course worship and the sacraments.
My family is one of my greatest joys and blessings. We live in Rochester. I have two daughters who being me great joy and make life an adventure. Katy is a junior at Luther College, member of the Nordic Choir, majoring in music education and performance. Lauren in a sophomore at John Marshall who enjoys color guard, drama, and choir.
My father, Maurice is 97 years old and lives independently at the Homestead in Rochester. One of his greatest gifts is his ability to love unconditionally, his support and encouragement of his girls.
Me? Outside of church and my family. I enjoy going to movies, good books, good music, and nice meal out. And have recently discovered I like yoga!
Looking forward to meeting you! ~ Pastor Krista
